FaceBreaker received most of its attention with its "Photo Game Face" feature, which allows players to upload photos and morph the images onto a character in the game. Sadly this seems to be the only major selling point. As reviews have started coming out, it has become clear that due to poorly balanced difficulty settings, the single player game becomes very frustrating. Each character has a special ability, but these abilities are not balanced against the others, and are used over and over by the AI characters, with no real defence. The multiplayer at least isn't as affected, as you and your opponent will be on equal footing (at least more so than the single player).
FaceBreaker was supposed to be a fun, arcade styled boxing game, but doesn't seem to deliver. From what I've seen, the graphics are good and the multiplayer has some life to it, but I don't think that makes it worth the R500 odd you will pay for it. I'll hold my final verdict as I haven't played the the full version, but I don't think you will miss out by leaving FaceBreaker alone.
