The Tiger Woods PGA Tour franchise is the most realistic golf simulation around. It's also the only one. But this isn't a bad thing, as the reason this franchise is at the top and alone, is because no one has even come close to matching the experience. This years edition, Tiger Woods PGA Tour 09, comes back with the usual offerings along with a few tweaks and new features. The most highlighted feature is the in-game coaching which is provided by real life coach for Tiger Woods, Hank Haney. After every round, you'll receive coaching advice to better your game through methods such as specific club tuning.

More emphasis has been put on online play, with the GamerNet being enhanced to allow for more personalization. Instant Challenges is a great addition where you can battle it out with friends to top the leaderboard of longest drive, closest to the pin and many more.

As with each year's release, new golfers and courses have been added. Our very own Gary Player Country Club has been added along with Wentworth Country Club in England, Sheshan Golf Club in China, Wolf Creek in Nevada and Bay Hill Country Club in Florida.

All in all it seems another quality release and so far the review scores are looking good with Metacritic coming in at 88. You can't go wrong with this title if you enjoy golf simulations.
