I'm not going to beat around the bush on this one. Too Human is one of those games you either going to love or hate. I personally don't think it's a bad game (Read my Too Human Hands On article), but it isn't anything special. From it's first announcement (no, the latest one for the xbox 360, not the one for the Playstation in 1999... or GameCube in 2000) everyone expected this title to be a major success. It seemed to be doing everything right and was a leap forward compared to other action/adventure RPGs on Xbox 360. Unfortunately, the control system has been a major downfall for the game. In theory it was a great idea, but implementation left many gamers feeling frustrated. The story line has also been sighted as a major flaw considering it plays a huge role in this type of game.
But it's not all bad, and even for someone like me who isn't a major RPG fan (Fable aside!), I did find it entertaining. The co-op mode is great fun, and if you and a friend can get into it, you will be busy for many hours. The character building system is also very strong, and is actually the best I've seen for a long time.
If you can get past the control system and enjoy the RPG element of building up a character, ignoring the repetitive gameplay, you will find Too Human an entertaining experience.
Metacritic Score: 68
