Update 3: EA South Africa has once again changed the release date. A press release issued late on Friday now states that the South African release date is 7 May. Whether stores will be able to start selling early if they receive stock before hand is unknown.
Update 2: EA South Africa has since come back to say that the game will release on time, with a scheduled 30 April release date.
Update: An EA South Africa representative has confirmed that 2010 FIFA World Cup South Africa has been delayed until 7 May due to the "Iceland Volcanic Ash".
Original Story: According to a tweet by local retailer Take 2, South Africans will have to wait an extra week before getting their hands on the upcoming 2010 FIFA World Cup South Africa video game. Although there's no mention as to what caused the delay, it's likely due to Iceland's Eyjafjallajokull volcano which has caused widespread disruption to air travel in over 20 European countries.
The new release date is expected in the first week of May, with Take 2 listing 7 May. We've contacted EA South Africa to find out more.
