Xbox Gaming in South Africa

Besides Operation Desert Storm, the South African Referendum and the end of the Soviet Union, there was one more thing to remember from 1991... Alien Breed on the Amiga! Ok, so maybe it wasn't quite so world-changing, but it was still pretty cool. Now, some 18 years later, Team17 will be bringing Alien Breed Evolution, a remake of the classic shooter, to XBLA starting with the first episode later this month.

Clearly influenced by the Alien movies, Alien Breed Evolution features "hours of dramatic single and multiplayer action, unique and exciting set pieces, thrilling bosses to fight and incidental surprises throughout". Visuals are provided by the faithful Unreal Engine, and it looks suitably shiny and explosion filled.

The first episode of the Alien Breed Evolution saga will arrive on 16 December for 800MSP via the Xbox LIVE Arcade.
