Here's the deal. The Aliens vs Predator Hunter and Survivor special editions ship with launch day DLC codes for a bunch of maps. These maps will be released to everyone else later on, as premium DLC.

“Downloadable Content on day one for those who purchase the Special Editions will consist of four brand new multiplayer maps: two new Survivor maps and two for the other multiplayer modes,” Tim Jones, Rebellion’s head of art and design, tells VG247. “That will become available to everybody else soon after release. As for post-launch DLC, watch this space.”

Of course, that means that, until general release, you're stuck playing those maps with the two other people who bought the special edition, but at least you're saving yourself a couple of MS Points.
