The Assassin's Creed saga is set to continue later this year with the first proper, numbered installment since 2009's Assassin's Creed 2, with publisher Ubisoft announcing that Assassin's Creed 3 will be in stores on 30 October this year.
"We will push the title a lot because it's a fantastic product that the team has been working for three years," said Ubisoft CEO Yves Guillemot, according to a Game Informer report.. "What we have seen is just fabulous."
The announcement was made during a recent investor call, with the publisher calling Assassin's Creed 3 "the biggest launch in Ubisoft history." So, hardly a sneaky, stealthy arrival then. Very little else is known about the sequel, with much speculation over the setting and new protagonist, so Ubisoft will hopefully throw us a bone sometime soon.
