The first free DLC for Ubisoft's stab-em-up Assassin's Creed: Brotherhood is available now on Xbox LIVE, with more on the way in January.
The Animus Project Update 1.0 DLC adds a new mode, Advanced Alliance, which is basically a more difficult version of the original Alliance Mode, as well as adding a brand new map: Mont Saint-Michel, which as the name suggests, is based on the rocky tidal island in Normandy, France, offering "breathtaking scenery", narrow streets, high-perched bell-towers and multi-leveled architecture, "perfect" for hunters and predators alike.
Along with the release of the first batch of DLC, Ubisoft has announced that even more DLC is on the way for AC: Brotherhood, with the aptly named Animus Project Update 2.0 DLC adding yet another game mode and map to the multiplayer mode:
The Pienza Map provides the perfect free-running playground where predators and targets can blend and disappear. In the new Chest Capture Multiplayer Mode two teams comprised of three players each partner with fellow Templars to either defend or capture Chests. Also included is the new Templar Score feature to reward diligent work by Abstergo recruits.
And the price? Absolutely free! The Animus Project Update 2.0 DLC is set to drop out of the shadows and onto Xbox LIVE sometime in January.
