As a 'thank you' to all the fans of the popular stealth action adventure game, Assassin's Creed: Brotherhood, Ubisoft has announced that the first game add-on, the Animus Project Update 1.0, will be available for free in December.

Included in the DLC will be a new multiplayer mode, Advanced Alliance, which is effectively a more challenging version of the original Alliance Mode, as well as a new multiplayer map, Mont Saint-Michel. The new map, set on a rocky tidal island just off the French coast (just like the real place), contains a network of narrow streets, multi-leveled buildings and picturesque vistas to enjoy when not being brutally stabbed in the neck by a stealthy opponent.

“We are very thrilled to be able to offer the first Multiplayer DLC for Assassin’s Creed Brotherhood for absolutely free,” said Sebastien Puel, executive producer, Ubisoft Montreal. “We wanted to say thank you to our fans for making Brotherhood such a huge success its opening week. We are very proud of the unique and innovative Multiplayer mode it offers, and hope the fans enjoy the new content.”

The Animus Project Update 1.0 DLC will be available for free from 14 December on Xbox LIVE Marketplace.
