Atomic's XBLA shooter Breach delayed

Looking to get your Breach on? You'll have to wait until next year, apparently. Atomic Games has just announced that the XBLA shooter, originally scheduled for an around-about-now release, has been delayed until January 2011.

The reason given is somewhat murky, however. According to the press release, "Breach was delayed largely due to later availability of an Xbox LIVE Arcade for Xbox 360 ship date from Microsoft than anticipated". Later on, however, the company's Peter Tamte admits that, "While work on Breach is actually done, we did miss our small window with Microsoft to get it up on Xbox LIVE Arcade for Xbox 360 in late June as we had planned." So they didn't actually get it done in time. Whatever. They're taking the opportunity to add in extra features, including a Hardcore mode, so everything is okay.
