Xbox Gaming in South Africa

A new action adventure game titled Batman: Arkham Asylum has been announced by Eidos for the Xbox 360. Developed by Rocksteady Studios, the player assumes the role of Batman as he delivers The Joker to Arkham Asylum. The inmates set a trap and inevitably things go pear shaped for our hero. Coined as an Action Detective Game, you must use your intuitive detective skills and aggressive melee attacks to fend off the super-villains that are housed within the confines of the asylum.

The story line has been scripted by Emmy Award-winning Batman writer Paul Dini, with the intention of bringing a worthy experience for gamers and fans alike. A continual problem as it seems with nearly all film/comic book to game conversions (and vice versa thinking about it now). Something interesting is a timer on the Rocksteady Studios website which ends roughly around 12pm, 15th August. Maybe they just counting down to their updated website but we'll keep you posted. Release date is expected some time 2009.
