By now most gamers have already been divided into one of three camps: Team Battlefield 3, Team Modern Warfare 3, and Team Lucky Bastard Who Can Afford Both. If you're still trying to decide which side of the fence you should be sitting on, then the Battlefield 3 multiplayer beta might help set your mind straight by giving gamers a chance to take one of the biggest titles of the year for an early tour of duty.
The beta, which will be available on Xbox LIVE from 27 September for those who purchased the Medal of Honor Limited Edition and 29 September for everyone else, will place teams in Paris for a round of the familiar Rush Mode. The solitary map, entitled Operation Metro, tasks players to "work their way from lush parks on the outskirts of the city to a dark, bombed-out metro station, to the vibrant streets around the Paris stock exchange", either attacking or defending M-COM stations as they go.
Those who partake in the Battlefield 3 beta will also have access to the new Battlelog feature, allowing gamers to keep track of stats and progress, communicate with friends and more.
The beta will close up shop on 10 October, and while there will be no rank cap or unlock limit, your stats - besides your soldier name - will not carry over to the retail version once it hits shelves on 28 October.
Check out the official beta site for more info on the Battlefield 3 beta, and we'll see y'all in Paris!
