Update: EA DICE has confirmed 24 June as the new release date for the Xbox 360 DLC.
Original Story: You may have realised it by now, but just in case you haven't, the Onslaught mode DLC, which adds 4-player co-op to Battlefield: Bad Company 2, has been delayed on the Xbox 360. Originally set to release today on Xbox LIVE for 800 MS Points, EA DICE has since updated the release date to somewhere "in the very near future".
The good news, depending on how you look at it, is that anyone who downloaded the recently released multiplayer update will likely have already downloaded most of the required DLC content. At least, that's what we deduce from a comment by EA DICE's Joe Grant on the official forum when asked whether the PDLC content is already on the disc:
- this is incorrect information. This update requires a download which most people should now have. It needs a final server side switch to enable.
So, while we wait for EA to flip the switch, you might as well grab the new multiplayer update, and then you're all set for when the DLC finally drops.
For now, check out the (pre-)launch trailer for Battlefield: Bad Company 2's Onslaught Mode DLC:
