Bungie don't just make cool games, they're also philanthropists. That's why SPARTANs have recharging armour, and why they're doing a Haiti quake relief campaign. To get in on the hero action, you can buy yourself a special edition ODST Superintendant from the Bungie store, branded with a Haiti quake relief slogan, and 100% of the profits will go off to aid efforts. If that's not your sort of thing, everything else you buy on the Bungie store until the end of February will see all its profits going to the American Red Cross.

Then, starting now and going until 23:59 Thursday night (that's 13:59 on Friday over here), you can show your support and help raise funds simply by playing Halo 3 or ODST on LIVE and decking your character out with a special emblem. For every thousand people logged in and playing, Bungie will donate $100 to the Red Cross. To get your emblem, do this:

1. Press START
2. Select “SETTINGS” / “APPEARANCE”
3. Select “EMBLEM”
4. Select “Hearts” ICON, “Circle” BACKGROUND
5. Back out to the APPEARANCES menu and select “COLORS”
6. Set “EMBLEM PRIMARY” to RED (or MAROON / BRICK / ROSE depending on which game you’re playing!)
7. Set “EMBLEM SECONDARY” to WHITE
