BigPark's Joy Ride drops off the radar

Joy Ride, the free-to-play kart-style racer from Canadian developer BigPark, was lined up to make an appearance at this year's E3, but has now been removed from not only Microsoft's E3 page but from Xbox.com too.

After being revealed at E3 last year we all had the quirky racer pencilled in our diaries for a planned release over the 2009 holiday period, but that never became a reality. Now we're left to wonder if the title will ever see the light of day. Joystiq got hold of Microsoft for a response, but all they got was this: "We're excited to bring BigPark's vision to life in 2010. However, we have nothing further to announce at this time."

Doesn't really tell us much, does it? Perhaps they're holding out so they can incorporate it with Natal. But at the moment, it's anyone's guess. We'll of course keep you updated as more information becomes available.

Don't remember Joy Ride? Here's the teaser trailer which was released last year.
