Xbox Gaming in South Africa

Surprise! After years of rumours and speculation, we've finally got an official nod on the console version of the highly anticipated action RPG sequel: Diablo 3.

The confirmation came from Blizzard Entertainment Community Manager Micah Whiple (aka Bashiok), who revealed the news via Twitter when asked whether Diablo 3 is coming to consoles:

It's no secret that Blizzard has been hiring a console team for a while now, but previously the mega-developer only confirmed that they were "exploring a Diablo-related concept for consoles."

No platforms or a release date yet, and considering Blizzard is still posting up job openings for the console version, it may still be a long way off. But at least we now have something a bit more concrete to go on now.
