Get ready, set, grooooaaaaaaan - Borderlands is getting a bunch of zombies shipped in on 24 November, for just 800 MSP. The Zombie Island of Doctor Ned DLC pack is set on Jakobs Island, home to the titular Doctor Ned, who finds himself in need of your skills when his zombie experiments go awry.

"It's probably four to six hours of new gameplay with a lot of new regions, new monsters, that kind of thing.", design director Paul Helqist told MTV Multiplayer. And when asked about the size of the new area, Helqist remarked, "It's probably about the size of the Arid Badlands [the starting zone] and one or two of the doglegs".

Not bad at all. Elsewhere, G4's Brian Leahy dropped this intriguing detail on the new enemies - "My hands-on time was brief, but I was able to fight several of the pack’s new zombie enemies and experience their unholy ability to swarm you from all angles. The undead legions are extremely resistant to corrosive damage, but burn nicely from fire and explosives. Zombies can be dismembered and will maintain their relentless pursuit of brains without legs, even crawling toward you as a torso. Upon dying, their brains will pop-up into the air and can be collected for a future quest. Try to catch them before they hit the ground!".

The DLC caters to characters level 10 and above, and will allow players to teleport directly into the new area (even if you haven't yet unlocked it in the main story), and unlike everywhere else in the game, the DLC will feature appropriate level scaling of enemies and plenty of them to make sure you're challenged no matter your current level.
