Good news everyone: Those of you who bought Call of Duty: Black Ops Hardened or Prestige editions in South Africa can finally redeem their free Classic Zombie Pack DLC codes on the local Xbox LIVE service, unlocking four Zombie mode maps from Treyarch's last CoD outing: World at War.
The content was originally region blocked, meaning a UK or US account, along with some VPN black magic, was required to download the maps.
While the Zombie DLC is now officially up on the local Xbox LIVE service, there is some bad news. Since the DLC is still region locked, you'll have to download the content using an IP address that reflects your region. In other words, if you have a UK or US account, you'll still need to use a VPN to download the maps from within SA.
There is a work around though. Anyone in the above predicament can just create a free South African account and download the maps with that account. Why? Because Arcade Games and DLC share licenses across the Xbox 360 - so you can play DLC that has been downloaded by another account on the same Xbox 360.
Right, time to party up and own some zombies!
