This just in, everyone - people buy Call of Duty map packs. Lots of them. Over 20 million, it turns out. It's a slow news day, okay.

Anyway, this includes all franchise map packs released until now, the most recent being Modern Warfare 2's Resurgence Map Pack.

"The Call of Duty franchise is unique in the world of entertainment and delivers one of the best multiplayer experiences ever," said Bobby Kotick, CEO of Activision Blizzard. "We are thrilled to deliver to fans exciting and engaging content that has the intensity they have come to expect from the franchise."

Thrilled to deliver AND thrilled to take fans' cash in return, I'm sure he meant to say.
