Xbox Gaming in South Africa

Crackdown 2 is set to release on 11 June, according to a report on VideoGamer. The details emerged on a pre-order information page on Xbox.com (screenshot below), which has since been taken down.

In an attempt to confirm the above release date, however, VG247 received the following response from a Microsoft rep:

I can confirm the article is incorrect and the game is schedule for 'later this year'. [The Xbox.com page] was inaccurately updated and the team are working on rectifying this.

Normally a 'no comment' response would be the order of the day (and pretty much confirm the release date as being correct), but a statement such as above does genuinely point to a misprint. Still, 11 June would fit well as a UK (and South African) release date.
