Crysis 2 will no longer be on our shelves in time for the Holiday season as expected, with Crytek's sci-fi shooter now set for a Q1 2011 (Jan-Mar) release.
The news came out in EA's recent financial results, but no reason was given for the delay. The word on the street is that it could have something to do with the developers decision to include 3D support for Crysis 2, but that's just speculation at this point. We'd normally say it's due to the crowded Holiday release schedule, however, Q1 2011 is just as packed, with many of EA's very own such as Dead Space 2, Dragon Age 2 and Bulletstorm.
Let's hope that wait is worth it. And that our pockets can take the strain.
