Richard Morgan, science fiction cult hero and recently announced Crysis 2 lead writer, slagged off Halo's story and characters in a recent interview with NowGamer.

"I don’t like the Halo series at all," he says. "Okay Halo is not actually bad, it’s just, you know, average. The reason that its fiction doesn’t work has nothing to do with the fact that you don’t get to see Master Chief’s face, it’s because of lines like ‘Okay … I’m gonna get up there and kill those guys’. Halo is full of these bull**** archetypal characters and there’s no real emotional effect."

With an opinion like that, we look forward to seeing what Morgan does with Crysis 2 later this year.
