EA has announced that Crytek's upcoming sci-fi shooter Crysis 2 is getting an exclusive multiplayer demo next week for Xbox LIVE Gold members.
"Crysis 2 offers a fresh, new take on multiplayer – one that will stand out and establish the game as a top contender in the first person shooter genre," said Cevat Yerli, CEO of Crytek. "The Nanosuit gives gamers a sense of power they have yet to experience in any other shooter and having New York City as a backdrop will present a different type of playground with even more possibilities."
The demo will feature the map Skyline, with two modes on offer: Team Instant Action, a team deathmatch mode, and Crash Site, a sort of territories mode with players battling for control over alien drop pods for points.
The Crysis 2 multiplayer demo will be available from Tuesday, 25 January, exclusively for Xbox LIVE Gold members, with free accounts having an opportunity to try out the Nanosuit 2.0 during the Xbox LIVE free weekend over 28-30 January.
In the meantime, check out the action packed demo announce trailer below.
Crysis 2 will hit local retailers on 25 March.
