Xbox Gaming in South Africa

THQ has announced that gamers will be able to take on the role of Death in the sequel to the apocalyptic hit Darksiders when it arrives in stores on 29 June 2012.

Along with the release date, the publisher also revealed some of the pre-order incentives coming to the UK. No word yet on what we can expect here in South Africa, but we usually receive the same pre-order incentives as the UK over here.

Update: A Ster Kinekor representative has confirmed that South Africa will get the Death Rides Pack. It will be available from BT Games, Kalahari, Incredible Connection, Look & Listen, Musica, Takealot and "other key stores".

The three UK pre-order packs are as follows:

• Death Rides Pack - Features multiple exclusive side-quests allowing players to explore more of the Maker’s Realm and Dead Plains. In addition players will be able to aid an ancient Construct, battle The Bloodless and retrieve Karn’s lost treasure.
• Angel of Death Pack - Features enhanced armor with an angel inspired design as well as a pair of matching scythes. In addition players will receive an exclusive purple colored visual trail for their crow.
• Deadly Despair Pack - Features an additional speed boost for Death’s horse Despair, that allows players to traverse the world at a much faster rate.
