Get those plasma cutters ready, EA has announced that a demo for the highly anticipated action horror sequel, Dead Space 2, will strategically assemble onto the Xbox LIVE Marketplace on Tuesday, 21 December.
"The holidays are a great time to enjoy all forms of entertainment, and we can’t wait to give horror and action adventure gamers a taste of what awaits them in Dead Space 2," said Steve Papoutsis, Executive Producer of the Dead Space franchise.
The Dead Space 2 demo takes place on the Church of Unitology level during the Necromorph outbreak on the civilian space station, the Sprawl, with engineer Isaac Clarke once again battling it out with all kinds of nasties for the greater good. At his disposal will be a host of new "tools", such as the Javelin gun, updated stasis recharge mechanic and enhanced telekinesis ability. Oh, and remember that awesome Jump trailer released during Gamescom? Well, you'll also be able to try out the new Zero-G space suit too, with added jets to allow Isaac full 3600 control.
The Dead Space 2 demo will be out on Xbox LIVE on 21 December, with the full retail release landing five weeks later, on 28 January 2011 in SA.
