Electronic Arts and Anchor Bay Entertainment have announced a new Dead Space animated movie, Dead Space Aftermath, which will be available in January to coincide with the release of the highly anticipated game sequel, Dead Space 2.
In the vein of the Animatrix series, Dead Space Aftermath will feature several renowned animation directors, each of whom will use their own directorial style to explain what happened during the first-responder mission to Aegis VII.
In Dead Space Aftermath, the year is 2509 and not only has Earth lost contact with the USG Ishimura and Isaac Clarke, but also the USG O'Bannon, which is the first responder ship sent to rescue them. Four crew members of the O'Bannon have survived, but no one knows what happened to the rest of the crew, what they were doing, or what secrets they may be holding. All will be revealed...in the Aftermath!
Dead Space Aftermath will be out on 25 January, with Dead Space 2 following shortly afterwards on 28 January in South Africa.
