Dead Space FPS? Dragon Age multiplayer? 4-player Army of Two? According to an inside source, these games, and more, are in the works over at EA.
Kotaku has the inside track on all of this, reporting that the frightening Dead Space series will be making strides into new genres, with a Dead Space first-person shooter game, some sort of flight game, as well as an adventure game to be compared to "Uncharted in space".
On the other side of the spectrum, taking things from space to bearded swordsmen, speculation points to a multiplayer component being implemented in the next Dragon Age release. The source couldn't confirm whether this would be a stand-alone title or a downloadable game, but did explain that it would include "player versus environment (PvE) elements as well as player versus player (PvP), as well as humans fighting dragons". Oh, and you'll be able to play as a dragon too.
Lastly, bargain bin favourite Army of Two is supposedly under development for a third outing, this time utilizing the Frostbite 2 engine (the same one behind Battlefield 3), along with 4-player co-op and under the new moniker Army of Four. EA Montreal are meant to be behind this one, but the source claims that things aren't looking good right now - a problem which EA might be looking to rectify by moving some of the DICE team over to lend a hand.
Obviously, none of this has been confirmed, but Kotaku has had many inside scoops come to fruition in the past, so we'll be watching all of these closely.
