Xbox Gaming in South Africa

Ok, sure a few days aren't much but considering the normal trend is to announce another delay, it's a breath of fresh air. But back to the point, Dead Space will be hitting stores Friday 24th of October 2008. If you haven't heard about this third-person, survival horror game then here's a quick run down.

You play a space engineer named Isaac Clarke who finds himself separated and alone on a ship infested with hostile aliens called Necromorphs. Your goal is to make it out alive.. simple enough? A slight problem is that firing a few rounds into these aliens doesn't really kill them. You have to dismember each one, with different types requiring different approaches, to truely kill them. Just to make matters worse they will learn and adopt new stances and tactics, and even sprout new limbs depending on where they are wounded.

So far the previews have been very positive and it has already won the "Best of E3" award from IGN. If you enjoy horror with high levels of gore and violence, this might just be right up your alley. Oh, and another thing, don't play this game late at night with the lights off... you've been warned!
