Capcom has officially announced that their successful hack and slash series Devil May Cry will be getting the HD remake treatment next year. The Devil May Cry HD Collection will bring together the original Devil May Cry, Devil May Cry 2 and Devil May Cry 3: Dante’s Awakening Special Edition in all their shiny high definition glory. Also included are the obligatory Achievements as well as some as yet unspecified bonus content.

Devil May Cry revolves around the demon-slaying adventures of the typical anti-hero Dante, son of a human mother and a devil father named Sparda, and all three games were released to high critical acclaim.

The Devil May Cry HD Collection is set to launch in early 2012.
