Xbox Gaming in South Africa

So we're five map packs into Battlefield: Bad Company 2, and - bizarrely - no new maps have actually been added. Swapping game types around doesn't count, guys. Now with the Battlefield: Bad Company 2 Vietnam expansion coming in around the end of the year, there's been speculation that DICE doesn't intend to add any new maps to the game.

That's now more or less been confirmed by Battlefield community manager Daniel Matros (AKA zh1nt0), who was involved in a Twitter exchange earlier today:

@zh1nt0: so no new maps for BC2 at all then, because afaik Vietnam is an expansion with seperate levelling & classes, almost a different game

@L0Ki85: I don't comment on rumors and speculations. For BC2 however there are no "new maps" coming

When the game launched, DICE waved the "WE WON'T CHARGE FOR DLC" flag, claiming this was a crucial strategy for keeping the community happy. Apparently their strategy mostly involved not actually releasing any real DLC.
