BioWare has announced a new downloadable expansion for the well received fantasy action-RPG romp Dragon Age 2, with the Legacy DLC coming to the Xbox LIVE Marketplace on 26 July.

Targeted by a vicious criminal cartel that are hunting "the blood of the Hawke," you must put an end to their relentless attacks. Leave Kirkwall, and journey to an ancient Grey Warden prison in order to find the source of the aggression and uncover the harsh truth about the Hawke lineage. Playable from any point in the DAII campaign, face all new darkspawn, forge a powerful new weapon and come face to face with an ancient horror.

The DLC gives players the chance to explore an all new area of the Dragon Age universe, and obtain a unique upgradeable class-specific weapon in the process.

The Dragon Age 2: Legacy DLC will be available later this month for 800 Magical Spell Points. Bring your beard.
