Oh, the realm needs a hero! Return to Ostagar has been yanked from this mortal plane, following the devastation of character profiles brought on by a new, sinister breed of title update. But enough with the stupid metaphors. A title update for Dragon Age: Origins released yesterday in preparation for the new DLC, Return to Ostagar, has been removed from Xbox LIVE after it was found to corrupt specialisation class information. The DLC itself was also removed, pending a fix on the title update.
"The Title Update has been removed by Microsoft. If anyone was worried about playing their copy of Dragon Age: Origins on their Xbox 360 while this was present, you no longer need to worry," BioWare's Chris Priestly informed fans on the official forum. "We are checking all versions of Return to Ostagar to ensure that there are no outstanding issues or the possibility of introducing new ones. Currently, we do not have an ETA for the release of Return to Ostagar on any platform."
And this is on top of the DLC being previously delayed due to some other technical issue. A black curse has surely been laid upon this game by the gods of Ferelden for the lacklustre Xbox port. So mote it be.
