Capcom has announced that their upcoming open-world action game Dragon's Dogma will include early access to the Resident Evil 6 demo when it hits retailers on 22 May in North America, and 25 May in Europe (which should be SA's release date too).
The Resident Evil 6 demo will be accessible through a redeemable token included in the retail version of Dragon's Dogma that will give Xbox 360 gamers a 60-day head start over any other platform when it hits Xbox LIVE on 3 July 2012, with PlayStation 3 gamers having to wait until 4 September in North America and Japan and 5 September in Europe to get their early access on.
No word yet on when the Resident Evil 6 demo will be available to all Xbox LIVE members, but hopefully we'll have plenty of time before the full retail release of RE6 on 10 November 2012.
Dragon's Dogma promises a somewhat different approach to the action combat game genre, offering up a "rich, living and breathing" open-world to explore rather than herding you down a planned route. It also introduces a new "innovative team system" to the genre, known as Pawns, which are essentially AI partners that can be trained and then shared with others players on Xbox LIVE in return for "treasure, knowledge of the world and strategies for taking down enemies." Sounds good to us!
Look out for Dragon's Dogma when it arrives in stores in May.
