Xbox Gaming in South Africa

UK retailer GAME, one of two official pre-order partners for Driver: San Francisco, has revealed that the upcoming action driving game will hit store shelves on 26 November in the UK and presumably South Africa too.

If the Driver franchise has failed to get your blood pumping until now, Ubisoft Reflections has a couple of tricks on show for this latest offering, including a new gameplay element called Shift whereby the lead character can spirit-travel from one car to another mid-chase. Yes, spirit-travel. As worrying as that may sound, Driver: San Francisco was actually nominated by Kotaku for Best Gameplay Mechanic of E3 2010, so it probably works a lot better than it sounds.

We will have to wait until November to see if Driver: San Francisco does enough to rekindle interest in the ageing franchise.
