Square Enix has announced that their upcoming fantasy RPG Dungeon Siege 3 has been delayed to 17 June in Europe and other PAL territories (that's us).
"Square Enix is committed to delivering the ultimate Dungeon Siege experience," said Square Enix CEO Mike Fischer on the delay. "Although the final polish phase has demanded a bit more time than originally planned, we want to assure fans and followers that the additional effort will allow us to deliver an action–RPG worthy of its rich heritage."
Developed by Fallout: New Vegas dev Obsidian Entertainment, Dungeon Siege 3 sees players take on the role of a legionnaire as they fight "for the sake of their fallen comrades" in the kingdom of Ehb. So, for the sake of fighting then. More interestingly, though, the game will include 4-player multiplayer co-op.
Look out for Dungeon Siege 3 when it hits retailers at the later date of 17 June.
