EA has taken the marketing campaign for Mass Effect 3 up to new heights, revealing that six copies of the game are being sent soaring into the sky attached to six high-altitude weather balloons.
The six balloons, fitted with GPS devices, will be launched Paris, London, Berlin, New York, San Francisco and Las Vegas next week. We'll all be able to track their movements via the official Mass Effect 3 website, and then once the balloons start to make their decent back to terra firma the mad rush begins - reach the landing site first, and you'll have one of the years most hotly anticipated titles a week before anyone else.

It's time to check that weather forecast and hope for a serious breeze blowing towards South Africa.
