We haven't seen much of EA Sports MMA since it was announced, besides a solitary screenshot and a number of fighter signings, but the news of a deal with mixed martial arts fight promotion, Strikeforce, is a step in the right direction.

Strikeforce will feature as a premier league in the EA Sports title, and brings with it the promotions' commentators, Frank Shamrock and Mauro Ranallo, as well as the Strikeforce ring announcer, Jimmy Lennon Jr., and legendary mixed martial arts referee, "Big John" McCarthy.

Two new fighters, Brett Rogers and Jake Shields, have also been added to the roster. While Strikeforce is perhaps not as well known as its biggest rival, UFC, MMA fans will be looking forward to seeing some of the promotions' big names battling it out in the cage.
