Like some sort of virtual Nostradamus, EA has the FIFA World Cup 2010 game engine to determine the results for the upcoming tournament, and according to their fortune telling efforts it looks like Spain is set to take home the trophy.
In a gripping final, Brazil fell prey to the flair of the Spaniards, ending the game and the tournament with a 3-1 thumping. While this may well end up being a pretty accurate prediction, I'm hoping that the rest of the results are further off the mark. Why? Because EA are predicting Bafana Bafana to be the first team knocked out of the tournament, scoring only one goal and no points in the process.
The South African team isn't doing much better on the 2010 FIFA World Cup Xbox 360 ranked leaderboard either, with our boys currently sitting at 58th position. Even Kazakhstan is ahead of us, people. That's no good. Still, we'll wait and see what happens when the real thing kicks off in a matter of days now.
