EA puts Bourne sequel on hold

Jason Bourne Video Game Series

EA and Starbreeze Studios' Bourne sequel has been officially suspended, with the Swedish developer moved over to another "big production" for the publisher.

"We will continue to focus only on a big production together with EA," said Starbreeze CEO Johan Kristiansson. "Our relationship with EA is stronger than ever, and the aim now is to spend more resources on the game that demonstrated the greatest potential. This game is already in full production."

And that's probably the recently announced Syndicate title, a reboot of Bullfrog's classic cyberpunk series.

EA were quick to point out that they're still in talks with the Ludlum Estate, but currently there's no Ludlum-related games in the works.
