Electronic Arts can add another exclusive license to their stable, this time in the way of video games based on the works of Robert Ludlum. The license was originally held by Vivendi Games, but was re-acquired by Ludlum Entertainment during the merger between Activision and Vivendi - leading to many titles being dropped by the newly formed Activision Blizzard.
The rights include exclusivity over the popular Jason Bourne series, and EA have been quick to confirm the next Bourne video game is already in development at Starbreeze Studios - the same folk who brought us The Darkness and still to come, Chronicles of Riddick: Assault on Dark Athena.
The last Bourne game, The Bourne Conspiracy, received mixed reviews but didn't harm the brand, leaving the door open for another try. You never know, Starbreeze could be the right people to make something special.
