Speaking in a recent video interview with GameStar, EA's senior vice president Patrick Soderland confirmed that EA are working on "something" new in the critically acclaimed Mirror's Edge franchise, but stopped short of revealing anything further.

"I loved Mirror's Edge and what we did with Mirror's Edge," said Soderland. "We have not abandoned the franchise. And we are working on something, but I'm not willing to talk more about that."

A possible sequel to 2008's parkour-flavoured Mirror's Edge showed up on the gaming radar again in March this year when EA's Frank Gibeau confirmed that the IP was definitely not dead, and that EA were "trying to figure out how to bring Mirror's Edge back and in what way".
