Xbox Gaming in South Africa

Microsoft has announced that Xbox LIVE users who have yet to upgrade to full Gold status will be given a free trial of the console's various entertainment apps this weekend. Sadly the usual regional restrictions still apply, severely handicapping the experience for South African members.

Starting tomorrow, Thursday 19 April, and running through until Monday 23 April, the Entertainment Unlocked weekend will unlock Facebook, Twitter, YouTube and DailyMotion for all South African Xbox LIVE users. Really just a drop in the entertainment ocean compared to what our cousins across the sea have access to, but beggars can't be choosers.
