It looks like Formula 1 fans will have to wait a little longer before getting their hands on Codermasters' upcoming racing sim F1 2010. According to local retailer Zaps, the distributor for Codemasters in South Africa, Nu Metro, has delayed the release of the highly anticipated title due to the original release date of the 24th being a public holiday.
Please be advised that F1 2010 all formats has moved from 24 September street date to 30 September, all stock will start shipping from the 27th September onwards.
Apparently, the reason for the week delay instead of just the weekend is to give retailers across the country enough time to receive their stock. This is something we've heard before from Nu Metro regarding delayed releases, and we're with Zaps on this one when they said, "I understand that NM are just trying to be fair but it seems kind of weird that the whole country has to wait before Pofadder's local gaming store has stock."
Until 30 September then.
