Codemasters has announced that the follow-up to last years critically acclaimed F1 2010 is set to challenge gamers to "be the driver, live the life, go compete" when F1 2011 races into stores on 23 September.
Those who follow the fast moving world of F1 will know that a new season brings with it a host of changes, and Codemasters will be aiming to make their representation of the 2011 season as true to life as possible. This means that along with the technical and gameplay improvements across the board - including "vastly extended" competitive and co-operative multiplayer components - Codemasters are promising all the official teams, drivers (including World Champion Sebastian Vettel), venues and all manner of updated rules and regulations. Look out for the debut of the Indian Grand Prix, as well as a return to the legendary Nürburgring for this next installment.
Powering F1 2011 will be Codemasters own EGO game engine, the tech which drove the likes of DiRT 2, F1 2010, and the upcoming DiRT 3.
Kicking off the marketing drive for the game, Codemasters are running a competition offering the chance to be one of the first to play F1 2011, as well as meet the development team and appear in a Development Diary video. Head over to the official facebook page to find out more.
