Xbox Gaming in South Africa

According to a splash page on Xbox.com, the new Twitter and Facebook integration will be launched on 17 November 2009 for UK Xbox LIVE users. We assume that the Last.fm update will also become available at the same time with a once off Xbox LIVE dashboard update.

With the beta said to go ahead later this month, and Microsoft previously confirming a pre-Christmas launch, 17 November sounds about right. Expect a formal confirmation soon, along with word on the US date.

[UPDATE] Well, who would have guessed it, Microsoft has removed the 17 November date on their social portal and instead added in "launches Autumn 2009" (that's our Spring, don't stress). I guess someone forgot to let the web design folk know it was meant to be a surprise. So, for now, the launch date is "unconfirmed", but don't act surprise when your Xbox 360 updates on 17 November.

[UPDATE 2] Microsoft has since confirmed the social networking update will go live on 17 November.
