First FIFA 11 details emerge

FIFA 11

The first concrete details on FIFA 11 are out, with EA revealing that they'll be focusing on 'player personality' this year round, according to a FIFA 11 blowout in UK men's magazine Zoo (via CVG). What exactly does that mean I hear you ask? Well it's more to do with your player's actions on the pitch and how they tie in with their real life counterpart's style of play. So Wayne Rooney will be running to and fro all over the pitch while Didier Drogba will be throwing tantrums if he doesn't get to take penalties. Okay, so only one of those is true.

Passing is also going to be revamped with the quality of passes being tied to your player's abilities so that this year you won't be able to do pinpoint through passes with anyway but the best passers. The variety of passes has also been increased with FIFA 11 seeing the addition of swerve passes, driven lobs, fancy flicks and through-balls with backspin.

You can also expect the usual graphical improvements as well as a total of ten 'body types' which is an improvement from last year's three. In regards to sound, for those of you who want to try and faithfully recreate the terrace atmosphere you can now record and use your own chants during games as well as select custom music to play as your team takes to the pitch or scores a goal.

It looks like EA is going all out this year to improve upon what was already a great game of football in FIFA 10, and with Konami also having released their battle plans it looks set to be a tight game between these two rivals for console supremacy. We can't wait to find out who'll win.
