Xbox Gaming in South Africa

Remember when you purchased your Forza Motorsport 3 Limited Collector's Edition, ripped open the packaging and found a whole bunch of codes for "exclusive" downloadable content? No? Oh, you probably live in South Africa then. But you paid less than the usual price, right? What, you paid more?! Wow, almost like you got ripped off or something. Well, perhaps the news that Microsoft and Turn 10 are making all that "limited", "exclusive" content available to everyone on Xbox LIVE will brighten up your day. Oh, and it will cost you 2,000 MS Points to get it all.

Ok, so not the best news but you will be helping in the global relief effort for the victims of the earthquake in Haiti. And that's something worth supporting. Microsoft has pledged to donate $10 for every purchase of the VIP Membership Car Pack in March, up to the amount of $100,000. Of course, Microsoft do love their region restrictions, so perhaps this only applies to official Xbox LIVE regions...

As a VIP in the Community, you receive recognition on Scoreboards, in Multiplayer Lobbies, in the Forza Motorsport 3 Storefront, and it places your VIP Auctions at the top of the Auction House. VIP membership also includes the ‘08 Aston Martin DBS, ‘09 Chevrolet Corvette ZR1, ‘07 Ferrari F430 Scuderia, ‘07 Lamborghini Gallardo Superleggera, and ‘07 Porsche 911 GT3 RS (997).
