EA has announced that the first downloadable content for Medal of Honor, the Clean Sweep DLC pack, will be available free to Online Pass holders from 2 November.
The free multiplayer mode titled Clean Sweep is an elimination mode where players must rely on their own skill and teammates’ expertise to prevail as the winning team. This exhilarating mode is playable across two all-new maps (Bagram Hangar and Khyber Caves) as well as redesigned versions of the popular Diwagal Camp and Kabul City Ruins maps.
If you bought a new copy of Medal of Honor you'll find the free Online Pass access code located inside of the game's packaging. If you're a second hand buyer, however, you'll need to fork out 800 MS Points to gain access to the "free" DLC. You can find out more about MoH's Online Pass over here.
Along with the DLC announcement, EA revealed a few sales figures to impress their shareholders, claiming that with only five days of sales data from the U.S., and two days from Europe and Asia, the game has sold through more than 1.5 million units. To put those sales numbers into perspective, EA DICE's other modern military shooter Battlefield: Bad Company 2 managed around 2.3 million units in just over 2 weeks. Considering Medal of Honor is only shy 800k, and still plenty of time to spare, EA will likely be happy with its performance so far.
Look out for the free Clean Sweep DLC pack on Xbox LIVE on 2 November.
