Front Mission Evolved gets a new release date

Earlier this year we told you that Square Enix and Double Helix's mech adventure Front Mission Evolved would be hitting stores in May, but as you might have noticed, that never materialised. Now, a couple of months on, we have a new release date for PAL regions, with the publisher announcing that it will be ready to roll out on 8 October.

Square Enix also detailed the pre-order bonuses which will be available from selected retailers, coming in the form of two additional Wanzers (that's Front Mission Evolved-talk for Mechs), Calm and Rexon. Calm is a war machine specialising in melee combat, and Rexon is the long range sniper-like addition to the family. It's unclear whether these bonuses will make it to local retailers, but we will get in touch with the local distributors to clarify. [Update: Nu Metro has confirmed that SA won't get any pre-order bonuses]
