Gears of War 3 has only just been released, yet Epic Games design director Cliff Bleszinski is already talking DLC. In an interview with The Telegraph, when asked to comment on any future Gears stories, Cliffy B casually confirmed that Gears of War 3 will get campaign DLC, although don’t expect to bump into Marcus, Dom or Cole.
"We have some DLC that’s coming up. We’ve confirmed we’ll be doing campaign DLC. One thing I can tell you is that you’re not going to see Marcus or Dom or Cole in it," revealed Bleszinski. "I believe that DLC should be unique and cool, like Lost and the Damned, Gay Tony, Mad Moxie’s Underdome Riot. All those kind of things. DLC’s the place where you play and have fun. So that’s one thing that’s an indication of where things may be going in the future."
Four Gears of War 3 DLC packs have already been confirmed, with the first pack landing this November. Epic Games has been less forthcoming on what each pack actually contains however, so it's unclear whether the campaign DLC will be part of these packs or an additional add-on. Either way, Gears fans have plenty of new content to look forward to.
